Why Use Fish Eye Camera For Surveillance ?
It has a wide angle coverage compared to traditonal CCTV Cameras. Covering up to 360° while traditional CCTV Camera only cover up to 120°.
For example, when you are trying to monitor a large scale premises such as warehouses, library and stores, It would only require one single fisheye camera and it is likely there would not be a blind spot for the Fisheye CCTV Camera.
However, if you were to use a traditional CCTV Camera, you would need multiple of them to monitor the whole area and there are likely to have blind spots.

First of all, avoid placing it near the wall as it would hinder the panoramic view thus, it would not be fully effective. And avoid placing near a light source as well because it would affect the image quality. Lastly, to fully utilize the fisheye lens, always place it in the middle.
